Trosolwg o'r swydd

Build a firm foundation of experience by working with a friendly, professional and encouraging team who are focused on promoting Charing Cross Hospital as a centre of excellence for surgical nursing.

Charing Cross Hospital is home to several surgical specialities across three ward areas totalling more than seventy beds.  We are expanding our nursing workforce and are looking for enthusiastic band five nurses with a keen interest in surgical nursing to come work with us across ENT and Plastics, Urology, Colo-rectal and Breast surgery. Our patients can be either having planned care, or come to us from our Emergency Department. Each ward offers different but equally challenging and rewarding experiences including caring for patients who may just stay a couple of nights after their operation to those having stepped down from critical care or have a tracheostomy in place and be under our care for a while longer. Furthermore our wards are highly sought after placements for our student nurses.

We welcome applications from nurses with some ward experience who are keen to become experts in surgical nursing. Induction and orientation for new team members can be several weeks and this is organised with you by the Matron prior to your start date. This ensures you have adequate time to become familiar with the ward environment and our patient caseload. Each staff member is also allocated a Band 6 Team Leader to mentor you and support your development.
