Do you have previous Band 5 and/or Band 6 level knowledge of critical care nursing? Hold a UK recognised critical care qualification? Do you have experience mentoring junior staff and are you ready to take on a more senior role within our 70 bed capacity critical care department? This exciting Band 6 opportunity will develop your leadership and management skills within our proactive multi-disciplinary team. We will offer you the following routes to develop within our teams. In house shift leader development programme depending on unit specialty, education in the management of the neuro, trauma and cardiac patients with university accreditation.  Access to the Trust leadership development programmes  secondment opportunities into critical care outreach and critical care education teams Let your skills and experience shine in an environment where excellence is a way of life. With more than 50 specialties and one of the largest portfolios of services in the country, we offer genuine opportunities to progress your career in critical care. In return we are looking for applicants who are hardworking dynamic and excel in their communication skills.   • Providing high quality, effective and individualised nursing care to a variety of patients in a compassionate and caring way.

  • Assessing care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating care plans without supervision.

  • Helping to lead and monitor the performance of the nursing team.
    Deputising for the Senior Nurse as required.
