Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced cardiac nurse  to join our dynamic and friendly cardiac nurse practitioner team for a 12 month secondment.  As the successful candidate, you would work at Ealing Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital and on occasion be required to work weekends.    

The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team to include nurses, doctors and physiologists and have the have the ability to work under pressure and be interested in personal development of leadership skills.  A secondment will be considered.

 

Main duties of the job

Main duties will include working in a range of outpatient clinics, outreach services and the heart failure virtual ward.   The postholder will also manage patients in the intravenous diuretic service for heart failure patients.   There will be a requirement for data collection for national audits.  Full training will be given.
