An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Staff Nurse to work as part of a team which delivers a high quality rehabilitation treatment service for people with mental health problems who display challenging behaviour to assess, plan and deliver excellent care for individuals with mental health needs on a 5 wards which include 3 locked wards, 1 open ward and cottages. This is an exciting opportunity for both newly qualified staff who would still receive our supportive and excellent preceptorship programme, and those staff that have been qualified for a period of time but would like to expand their experience.

We require an individual with outstanding communication skills who is a team player, able to work innovatively and is committed to the planning and delivery of quality mental health nursing care within a structured occupational ward programme.
As Staff Nurse you will have a named nurse role for patients, coordinating the assessment process and care planning interventions with support from the MDT. You will have responsibility for managing shifts and providing supervision to junior staff. You will be expected to work shifts including night duty, to ensure that patients are supported to meet their physical, psychological and social needs on a daily basis. You will lead in the assessment process and in relation to delivering appropriate and skilled interventions.
You will also be expected to engage in recovery focused support training and nurse competencies in order to support you in your role.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
