Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting)
Band 6 Full/Part Time
Croydon Health Services NHS Trust are seeking enthusiastic Health Visitors to lead on delivering the Healthy Child Programme. There are opportunities for Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (Health Visiting) to work across various locations in Croydon.
The Health Visiting service is preparing to deliver the current Health Visitor Specification in an integrated approach with local Children Centre’s, Local Authority partners and other agencies across Croydon. From April 2016, Croydon Health Visiting will be known as Croydon Best Start incorporating an early intervention approach and early help services. There is a commitment from Croydon Best Start to use the Family Partnership Model in service delivery. As a Health Visitor you will be utilising the use of Promotional Guides for the early identification of needs in conjunction with Community Midwives.
In February 2015 Croydon achieved the Baby Friendly Stage 2 accreditation, and will be aiming for Stage 3 in 2017.
