Junior Sister/Charge Nurse - Band 6

The Cardiology and Hematology Ward is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Sister for our 29 bed ward. Croydon University Hospital is an exciting busy outer London Hospital seeing 120,000 patients per year from a local diverse population. This role will be supportive of you developing managerial and leadership skills; you will join an established enthusiastic and committed team.
The successful applicant is required to work and manage all areas within the department and demonstrate a professional manner, clinical expertise with good communication skills in all aspects of their work. This role regularly takes charge of the department and this post will allow the successful candidate to develop their managerial and leadership skills.

We have excellent educational links with the local universities via the departmental practice development nurse and there will be future opportunities for the Junior Sister to develop Cardiology and Hematology skills if that is where your interests lies.

For our band 6 post it is desirable that you have significant experience within acute nursing, Cardiology or Haematology would be an advantage
