Senior Sister NICU

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Level 3 Neonatal Unit here at Medway Foundation Trust

We are looking for a Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge who is motivated, innovative, dynamic and friendly to join our team and help us further develop and deliver our expanding neonatal service.

Over the years our unit has built an excellent reputation for high quality healthcare and outstanding career development. You will be joining an enthusiastic, friendly, motivated multidisciplinary team working within a center of excellence for neonatal care.

We have a team of highly skilled Consultants and Neonatal Nurse practitioners who work collaboratively to deliver high quality care to our small patients and their families. We also have close links with Kings College Hospital who provide surgical input for our babies when required. The Kent part of the Transport service for London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex is also based with us.

Our Level 3 unit currently has capacity for 12 Intensive/high dependency cots and 16 special care cots. We also have a transitional care unit which can accommodate up to 8 babies.

We have a strong commitment to staff development and service improvement. As a senior member of our team you will be expected to have proven clinical and managerial experience, effective communication skills. In addition you will need to have the ability to provide direction and give inspirational leadership to all members of the multi professional team.

We value your commitment to the specialty of neonatal nursing and in turn we are offering a recruitment and retention premia of £1,500 pro rata to those who have the neonatal qualification.
