The Pre-operative Assessment (POA) service is very excited to be able to recruit a senior clinical support worker to the team.

The successful candidate’s duties will include supporting the health-screening programme prior to the patient’s scheduled elective admission and surgery, as well as, working closely with the POA unit manager to continue to move the service forward.

You must be a collaborative worker able to interface with the public and all members of the multidisciplinary team. Essential to the role are excellent written and verbal communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible in your approach to work and computer literacy is a necessity, as your duties will include data entry.

This role will offer the successful candidate immense job satisfaction as you will be playing a key role in assisting to reduce healthcare associated infections (HCAI’s) and maintaining the very highest standards of care for your patients as well as working with an experienced team keen to offer you support, help and guidance at any time.
