Job overview
We are recruiting for a Senior Clinical Support Worker - Gynaecology who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will assist the Registered Nurse in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. You must be a collaborative worker able to interface with the public and all members of the multidisciplinary team.
We are passionate in investing in our Nursing Services to improve the quality and experience of care for women and have Gynaecology Nurse Practitioners and Clinical Nurse Specialists that lead many of our specialist services (Urogynaecology, Endometriosis, Fertility, Recurrent Miscarriage, Pregnancy Choices).
We strongly believe in supporting the development of our staff in Gynaecology and we are providing ultrasound scanning training to streamline the journey of women and we are equipping staff with advanced skills such as Nurse Prescribing to ensure that care can be delivered in a timely manner.

Main duties of the job
Your duties will include Supporting the Hysteroscopy, Colposcopy and Procedure clinics and the General Gynaecology Outpatient Clinics including our specialist Endometriosis and Fertility Clinics and Nurse Led Early Pregnancy, Urogynaecology and Gynaecology Emergency Unit.
Assist the Registered Nurse in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
You will work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
Provide escort and transfer for patients, with moderate dependency, as directed.

- Previous experience in health care setting
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience in Gynaecology / UroGynaecolog/Urolog y/ Early Pregnancy
Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to communicate in a variety of settings with patients of varying levels of understanding
- Understanding of quality and change in the clinical setting.
- Ability to handle simple medical equipment.
- Ability to work with manual handling policy
- Flexibility and team participation
- Basic IT skills or willingness to develop
Desirable criteria
- Ability to provide health promotion advice
- Ability to provide advice for bladder care
- Ability to collect and input data for audit purposes
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding of the requirements of the role
- Basic understanding of NHS issues

- Knowledge of Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy issues
Qualifications/Training

- NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care
