An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced nurse to
join the team at Bishops Wood Hospital, which is owned by BMI Healthcare, the leading provider of private healthcare in the UK.
The post holder will be employed via East & North Herts NHS Trust and be a member of the multi disciplinary Macmillan Clinical Specialist Team at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, supported by Macmillan Cancer Support.
The successful candidate will be required to implement and evaluate care for cancer patients being treated at Bishops Wood Hospital and will need to be innovative and passionate about making a difference to patient care.
The candidate will be able to demonstrate expert knowledge, skills and
experience of working in oncology/palliative care. Have excellent knowledge of the cancer trajectory, chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments, symptom management and end of life care.
The candidate should have completed a relevant degree in cancer/palliative care, be a non-medical prescriber and have exemplary communication skills not only with patients and relatives but also with the multi-disciplinary team and professionals allied to medicine. The candidate should also have excellent presentation skills.

In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £3,518 and a maximum payment of £4,483 per annum pro rata.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
