The Outpatient Department at The Royal Hampshire County Hospital is looking for a qualified nurse to join our team of nurses and Health care assistants that work to support a wide range of medical and surgical clinics. Previous outpatients experience is desirable and post registration is essential. Please read the job description and person specification for further information.

An initial period of supernumary training and supervision will be provided during your induction, along with structured training and support. This is a very patient focused service and the successful candidate will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work across a range of different medical and surgical specialities.
The primary base is The Royal Hampshire County Hospital although you may be required to work individual shifts at one of the other Trust sites if required.

The department seeks, where possible to provide full shifts which are broadly between 08:30 and 17:00 and the service predominently runs Monday - Friday, although there may also be future requirements to support evening and weekend clinics.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
