Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated registered nurse with Infection Prevention and Control qualifications and experience looking to further your professional development by working in Infection Prevention and Control to improve patient safety and provide high quality care. You will also be required to work in an Infection Control capacity in one of the local private hospitals to help fulfill a contract HHFT will hold there. If you have the drive and motivation to compliment our team of experienced Infection Prevention and Control Nurses, we would like to hear from you.
As a professional role model, you will provide direct and indirect clinical care; ensuring that the needs of the patient are placed at the centre of care delivery. You will provide specialist nursing advice to support and facilitate high quality, individualised care to patients/clients and relatives/carers in collaboration with the multi-professional team, and in line with local and national trajectories.
You will be involved in teaching and research to ensure the dissemination of specialist skills and knowledge to all staff groups, patients and others while supporting education and practice development activities across the hospitals. This will be in collaboration with other members of the Infection Prevention & Control Team, in-service education and/or practice development teams.
This challenging yet exciting position involves managing a wide range of complex and sometimes conflicting priorities. It is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative team of nurses, who work at the cutting edge of this exciting discipline.
As a valuable member of our team, you will be integral to building on our success in reducing our infection rates; not solely through influencing, but working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to develop policies and audit tools that deliver and embed sustained changes in practice, to ensure excellent patient care is maintained.
A positive, flexible style and approach is necessary and you must be effective at motivating and influencing staff at all levels. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are paramount to this rewarding role.
