Specialist Surgery Division – Trauma Orthopaedics/Maxillofacial and ENT Surgery Ward 120 HRI
Job Type: Permanent – Band 2 Nurse –Full/Part time
The Trauma Orthopaedic service is looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic auxiliary nurses to Ward 120 Hull Royal Infirmary. Ward 120 is an established, hard working and motivated
team of nurses, caring for complex surgical patients under various specialities. There is an ongoing programme of development for all staff grades with the opportunity to develop additional clinical skills such as phlebotomy
The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the registered nursing team in providing direct high quality patient care. You will work under the supervision of the Ward Sister and in partnership with the registered nursing team.
The hours of work will include 24/7 internal rotation through days and nights.
You must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, both verbal and written, have a flexible approach to working and previous evidence of effective team working. Experience of working within a care setting is essential.
The successful applicants will have the opportunity to develop their skills in orthopaedic nursing. A willingness to become link nurses in specific areas of patient care e.g. Dementia, Nutrition, Infection Prevention is essential.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
