Job overview
Tressell Ward (Conquest Hospital)
Maternity Cover
Tressell Ward has 28 beds and will admit patients with a variety of medical conditions with the main specialism being older people’s medicine. It is a fast paced ward with caring for complex older people including those with delirium/dementia.
Our aim is to maximise patient care, by using all the resources available, to reduce length of hospital stay and maintain patient flow. This is achieved by holding a daily multi-disciplinary meeting, to discuss every patient. The Hospital Intervention Team, Social Services, both medical teams and the nursing staff, meet to establish the needs of the patient, the management plan and how a safe discharge can be achieved in the most timely manner .
We encourage nurses from all areas of the healthcare industry to become part of our team. The Matron would welcome the opportunity to meet with any potential applicants prior to making an application so that he is able to show you what the ward has to offer in terms of development.
The successful applicant will be expected to function effectively under pressure without compromising basic standards of care and professionalism.
In return we will offer you excellent managerial support and commitment to your personal professional development.
