We would welcome Midwives who wish to be part of a forward thinking team involving normalising birth and working in a high risk environment and to join our cohesive, friendly team that embraces women centred care and has a philosophy of partnership working

As a Trust we are one maternity service across two clinical areas and community. This role would involve working across two sites in in beautiful Haywards Heath and coastal Brighton, Sussex to provide a wide variety of care and support which will enable you to develop knowledge and skills in delivering contemporary midwifery practice.
We deliver over 5,000 women /year across the two sites and have an exceptional home birth service, so why not join us in the exciting changes that are happening develop you career and become part of a strong midwifery team.

We would like to hear from newly qualified midwives, passionate to deliver high quality care to women in the region. If you would like to contribute to our maternity services and in "making a difference", we would be very pleased to hear from you.

We are really proactive in encouraging personal development and growth and provide a robust preceptorship package to help you achieve your clinical competencies but you must already be qualified to apply for this position.

We would consider flexible working patterns and are working towards equal opportunities for all. However, all applicants must be aware that this is a 24 hour 7 day a week service and in order to meet service requirements you will be called upon to work long days, nights and weekend shifts.

• Posts in the Trust are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Criminal Records Bureau to check for any previous criminal spent and unspent convictions, reprimands, and cautions.

• Appointment to this role will commence at the lowest salary point unless confirmed otherwise by HR Employment Services (Recruitment, Administration & Terms and Conditions)

• We may also use this advert to build our Bank staff. If you are unsuccessful at interview for a substantive role but meet the BSUH standards you may be offered a bank post.
