Infection Prevention Information Analyst

Infection prevention is a very challenging and ever changing component of healthcare. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Infection Prevention Team, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our busy, friendly and supportive team. We value the contribution of each team member to help deliver our overall aims and objectives in line with reducing the risk of healthcare associated infections. The Infection Prevention Team has a highly visible role working in all areas throughout the Trust. In order to maintain and further improve our achievement, an opportunity has arisen to appoint a new Information Analyst. The post holder will work within the operational scope of the Infection Prevention Service facilitating surveillance, investigation and control of infections within the Trust.

The post holder will be based on the Royal Sussex County Hospital site, with travelling required to other Trust sites as required.

The successful applicant will be required must

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and play an integral role in ensuring excellence in the prevention, and control of healthcare associated infections across all sites of the Trust
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, collecting and inputting data to the Public Health England database
• Be able to present formal presentation of results and findings as required
• Experience in dealing with statistical, complex analytical queries
• Experience of investigating data anomalies identified during analysis
• Experience of interpreting, evaluating and translating information from a variety of sources
• To ensure compliance to the HCAI code (DH 2015) for CQC requirements in England
• Contribute to the Infection Prevention strategy of the Trust
• Must be able to work both independently and as an effective member of a wider team

Interviews will be conducted Monday 15th May 2017 at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. Part time will be considered.
