We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Leader at Furness General Hospital.

The Children’ and Young People’s Service incorporates the Children’s Ward and Special Care Baby Unit.

The Children’s ward is a busy mixed speciality unit providing care for a wide range of conditions. It compromises of a 14 bed In-patient Ward, 8 bed Day Care Unit,4 bed assessment unit and an Out-patient Department. The Level 3 SCBU comprises of 4 cots. All band 6 nurses are given the exciting opportunity to rotate to the Emergency Department where they will care for the children who present to the unit. To support this band 6 nurses undertake the APLS course and other relevant training.
