An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who is interested in developing their critical care skills.
The purpose built Critical Care Unit in Glangwili General Hospital is looking for a Band 5 Nurse.
The post will be based in GGH, with rotation to work across site in the Intensive Care Unit at Prince Phillip Hospital as required. The post will be Full Time/Part Time with night rotation.
Successful applicants will be fully supported whilst gaining experience in the care of critically ill patients undergoing a variety of critical care interventions. Following orientation and completion of relevant competencies, staff will have the opportunity to access university based post-graduate course.
**The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate some knowledge of Critical Care Nursing, but this is not essential and have a willingness to develop their skills further, playing an integral part in integrating critical care across Carmarthenshire.**
The applicants should be able to demonstrate the use of evidence based practice and be proactive in managing change. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, together with a readiness to innovate and develop nursing within a team approach.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
