An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced chemotherapy nurse, to join an established clinical trials unit team. The post will be based at Velindre Cancer Centre, delivering treatments to patients who are participating in clinical trials as well as to facilitate recruitment into early phase cancer trials.

You will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic first level registered nurse, experienced in direct patient care in the oncology or research setting. This post will involve working on a portfolio of clinical trials overseen by a team leader within the Clinical Treatment Research Unit.

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. Responsibilities include safe administration of novel treatments adhering to trial protocols and VCC policies surrounding chemotherapy administration. Providing patient information and patient monitoring. There is also a requirement for accurate data collection whilst adhering to relevant legislation and national frameworks. You will also be proactive in communication and education of Health Care Professionals.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
