CARING FOR PEOPLE - KEEPING PEOPLE WELL
Cardiff and Vale UHB is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our District Nursing service within North & West Cardiff Locality. We currently have a Band 5 vacancy in North District Nursing team.
The role of the District Nurse is to deliver highly skilled care to patients in their own home and other community settings.
The service operates in Locality teams working closely with GP clusters delivering varied and diverse care including palliative care, coordination of complex continuing health care and wound care to the patients living within this area.
As a service we work closely with other community services such as the Community Resource teams providing rehabilitation and our colleagues in University Hospital of Wales, University Hospital Llandough and Locality based community hospitals , the local authority and voluntary sector to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.
Our Mission Statement: Caring for People Keeping People Well.
Newly qualified nurses joining our district nursing teams will benefit from the nurse foundation programme and there are enormous learning and development opportunities for all nurses within the service including specialist community nursing qualifications, wound and palliative care qualifications and training up to and including masters level.
