Cardiff and Vale UHB is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.
With the successful creation of a new clinical directorate and new management arrangements an exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join our team. We are now seeking dynamic individuals who want to be a part the Endoscopy Service at Llandough Hospital.
The unit comprises of 2 rooms that service a full range of GI Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy and Thoracoscopy procedures and also dedicated support facilities for a seamless patient pathway.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work with a friendly and supportive team within a challenging and demanding environment. Experience in Endoscopy is desirable but not essential as on- the - job training will be provided. A mentor will be assigned to guide you towards developing your skills, thus providing effective and efficient delivery of patient care.
The successful candidate will be working in a purpose built unit, using some of the latest technology.
There are 2 Endoscopy rooms with a separate cleaning\decontamination room. The Unit is open Monday to Friday with a view to working weekends in the near future and provides a service to both out-patients and inpatients which includes diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for adults and children.
The successful candidate will be expected to take part in the on-call rota for evenings and weekends.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
