School Nurse - Specialist Community Public Health Nurse

Cardiff and Vale UHB is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.


An opportunity now exists for a conscientious, motivated and forward thinking School Nurse to work within Cardiff and Vale School Health Nursing Service.

First level Registration with SCPHN Degree/Diploma in school nursing is essential.
Ability to travel between bases/schools in a timely manner.

The Child Health Directorate is proactive in developing the roles of practitioners in the community. There are also opportunities for personal development and career progression.

The Directorate operates flexible working which includes staff rotating to and from equivalent posts throughout the Directorate, in order to allow individuals to gain experience, for professional development and to allow the UHB to meet the changing needs of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post
